What is it like to go on a dino dig?

The open, arid prairies of Wyoming, USA, are profoundly different today to the lush world that dinosaurs lived in 150 million years ago.

In summer 2019, Museum scientists set out on an expedition to the wilds of North America to hunt for prehistoric life hidden just below the rocky surface.

Some of the world's most famous dinosaurs, including Stegosaurus and Brachiosaurus, lived in North America during Jurassic Period.

For four weeks, Museum experts searched a square mile of land in the hopes of uncovering fossils that will help us to understand more about these incredible animals and the environment they lived in.
