Your tour will bring to life hidden gems and often-over-looked specimens in our galleries. Plus, we’ll introduce you to our newest dinosaur Fern our dazzling bronze Diplodocus, which takes pride of place in our Evolution Garden.

From why our showstopping blue whale is named Hope to why we keep so many of Charles Darwin’s pet pigeons, we’ll show you our best of the best. After your tour enjoy a delicious modern twist on a traditional British afternoon tea.

Our Inspired by Nature afternoon tea celebrates the very best of British seasonal produce. It includes an exciting array of sweet and savoury treats all with a nature-inspired twist and specially created by Benugo’s pastry chefs. Enjoy a dinosaur-footprint macaron, an Earth pot filled with raspberry and chocolate, Earl Grey scones, a selection of loose-leaf teas and much more.

  • The meeting point is by the Garden Kitchen in the East (Evolution) Gardens, the outdoor cafe closest to Exhibition Road and underground entrances to the Museum. After the tour, the afternoon tea takes place in the Anning Rooms.
  • You’ll receive a link to a form in your confirmation email after purchase to submit your dietary requirements, as well as those of anyone attending the tour with you. Complete the form no later than 7 business days before your experience date.
  • We’ll do our best to meet any last-minute changes or requests, but we can’t guarantee the standard equivalent meal.
  • We’re not able to accommodate additional guests once booking for a date has closed.
  • Your tour ticket grants you access to the Museum up to one hour before your scheduled tour. If you plan to arrive earlier, you may need to get a general admission ticket or join the walk-in queue.
  • This tour isn’t suitable for children under 4 years old.
