Explore the contributions women scientists and explorers have made to our understanding of the natural world.
Discover the women that have helped to shape our Museum here at Tring from Victorian times to the present day.
As your guide leads you through our galleries, find out about the extraordinary lives and work of the women that have made the Museum here at Tring what it is today. Hear about renowned palaeontologist Dorothea Bate, one of the first officers in charge of the Museum. Then delve into the talents of esteemed entomologist Miriam Rothschild – the niece of the Museum’s founder Walter Rothschild, and much more besides.
