Yoga at the Natural History Museum
Enjoy a yoga session inspired by the Museum's connections with the natural world.
Find your zen at the Natural History Museum with a unique yoga class hosted in collaboration with East of Eden.
Rise and shine with an invigorating yoga class followed by a live gong bath and exclusive access to one of the Museum's galleries while it is closed to the public, including our Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition.
Tune in to your own breathing, energise your body and move through a series of ancient yogic movements beneath Hintze Hall's magnificent blue whale skeleton for a yoga experience amongst the treasures of the natural world.
This class is suitable for all experience levels. Please remember to bring your own yoga mat for these events.

This event is for those aged 16 and over.
Bookings are required. Tickets are not available for purchase on the door.
No refunds will be given. You may change your booking to an alternative date as long as you inform us at least 30 days before the date of your original booking. Alternative dates are subject to availability and must take place within one year of your original booking.
There will be a £10 admin fee for moving a ticket.
Doors will open at 07.30 and the class begins at 08.00. Entry is via the main entrance on Cromwell Road.
Your Yoga class will end at approximately 9:15am. When you're finished you're welcome to explore the Museum including our new look Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Fossil Marine Reptiles, Birds Gallery and Lasting impressions.
Refreshments: Central Café will open after the class at 9:15 serving hot drinks and snacks.
Cloakroom: The cloakroom will not be open during this event, we advise travelling light.
The event will begin promptly and we cannot allow entry more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time.
It is your responsibility to determine, through obtaining appropriate medical advice, that you are fit and well to take part in the event. Before commencing any exercise regime, you should consult your doctor.
Guests who are pregnant must advise the teacher and be aware that if they are in the first trimester, they may not be able to take class. This is entirely at the individual teacher’s discretion. If the teacher agrees to you participating in class, this is at your own risk.
Please note that photography and filming may take place during this event and these images may be used for Museum marketing purposes. If you have any concerns about being photographed, please speak to a member of staff at the event.
The Museum reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the event as required, such as adjusting the locations, timings or content of the activities. This is to ensure that we deliver a safe and excellent experience for all guests at all times.

What to bring
- A yoga mat. We will not be able to lend you a mat
- Extra layers. The temperature at the Museum fluctuates throughout the year so make sure you have clothing to put on or take off so that you're comfortable throughout the session. You may also want to bring a blanket for the gong bath
- A reusable water bottle. The Museum is working hard to reduce its carbon footprint, so single-use plastic bottles are not available for sale
