Summary
In my current role as Principal Curator I lead the curatorial team for the Algae, Bryophyte, Lichen and Slime Mould Collections; a major research resource of over 2 million specimens. I directly manage the Moss Herbarium which, with over 700,000 specimens, is one of the largest collections of its kind in the world and represents a critical source of biodiversity data. I have expertise in seaweeds, freshwater algal groups and bryophytes, focusing on taxonomy, biodiversity and conservation research. I deliver a range of public outreach and teaching activities including university lectures and training courses.
